Tribute Trees

Tree planting at NLWS helps restore habitats for wildlife, providing food and shelter for animals, supporting biodiversity, and mitigating the effects of deforestation on ecosystems.

Plant a Tribute Tree!

A meaningful way to honour or remember someone special while helping wildlife and our environment.

Over the past years a lot of trees around the shelter where lost to diseases and elements. By planting a Tribute tree you give wildlife shelter, shade and enrichment, while helping nature to recuperate the loss.

There will be 2 planting cycles, but you can purchase a tree anytime. The date of purchase is important for deciding when to plant your tree.

June
October your tree will be planted in the fall.

November
May your tree will be planted in the spring.

Each tree purchase will be logged in on our Tribute Page with the designated person. Upon request we can also mail you a certificate (if you plan to use it as a gift). Each tree planted has a minimum size of 3 feet or more, so is well established and will be cared for by NLWS crew. All donated trees will be clearly marked so during our Open House visitors can see the trees.

Your Donations Save Lives!

Your donation saves Lives  Donating to Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter saves wildlife by providing crucial resources for their care, such as food, shelter, and medical treatment. The shelter rescues and re-wilds injured or orphaned wildlife, giving them a second chance at life. Your donation can directly contribute to the well-being and survival of these vulnerable species.
